DVD Authoring

It is a widely accepted notion that translation of any modality seeks to preserve the intent and meaning of the original text and audiovisual translation of course poses no exception to this rule.

When the translator's job is to create a foreign language version, differences between the source and the target culture play an important role and require special sensitivity, not only for the language pair in question but also for the underlying cultural and social systems they are embedded in.

Humour, puns, quips, pointed remarks, subtlety and nuances can easily be lost or misunderstood in a translation. A good translator therefore uses not only the right words, but also captures the right tone and level of formality or informality in order to create a translation that accurately reflects the original dialogues and their underlying meaning.

At CineTitles all translations are carried out by qualified native speakers and tailored for your intended use. We know our business, let us help you boost yours.
